How can workplaces encourage organ donation?
Consider using the activities below to help spread the word about the importance of organ donation.
- Use the Give 5—Save Lives strategy. Encourage employees to take five minutes during work to sign up as organ, eye, and tissue donors.
- Share organ donation information in workplace social media messages, e-newsletters, on websites, or add DoNation posters in workplace common areas. Visit the Outreach Materials Library to download free resources, including customizable templates, social media graphics, web banners, and more!
- Host a wellness fair, blood drive, or donor registration drive in your workplace or community.
- Start a social media campaign and add links to the organ donor registry to encourage sign-ups.
- Share stories from donor families and people who received transplants. Browse our Life Stories or create your own by finding a workplace ambassador who may have a personal connection to the mission of organ, eye, and tissue donation and transplantation.
